Made by Robin des Bois, the MEGÈVE bench was designed to accompany a contemporary-style dining table. This solid wood table bench seats three guests side by side and gives meals a family table atmosphere, reminiscent of extended Sunday lunches and evenings where you squeeze in one more person.
Entirely made from solid pine, the MEGÈVE bench is FSC® certified. Its brushed texture highlights the pine grain, which can be felt by running your hand over the seat. A nitrocellulose varnish protects the wood over many meals. Once the table is cleared, it can be stored under the tabletop of most tables, restoring space to the room. Only the legs need assembling.
Outside the dining room, the MEGÈVE bench finds its place at the foot of a bed, in an entryway, or in a dressing room, to sit while putting on shoes or to place a bag when entering.
Why will you love it?
Where chairs determine the number of guests, the MEGÈVE bench is more accommodating. It easily makes room for an unexpected guest or allows children to sit side by side. Without a back, it keeps the table visually light and lets the room breathe. It's the piece that transforms a simple dinner into a real gathering.

Maintenance Tips
To ensure the longevity and maintain the appearance of your new furniture, it is essential to follow some simple yet effective care tips:
1.Regular cleaning : Dust your furniture frequently with a clean, dry, and lint-free cloth. This helps prevent dust buildup, which can wear down the finish over time.
2.Avoid harsh products : Do not use varnish, wax, oily products, alcohol, solvents, or perfumes to clean or polish your furniture. These substances can damage the finish and affect the wood's quality.
3.Protection from sunlight : Avoid exposing your furniture directly to sunlight. Prolonged exposure can discolor the finish and weaken the wood.
4.Protection during meals : Use a tablecloth to protect the surface of your table during meals. This helps prevent scratches, stains, and other damage.
5.Protection from heat : Always use a trivet or similar protection under hot dishes to prevent burns and warping of the wood.
6.Avoid moisture : Do not expose your furniture to liquids. In case of spillage, immediately blot the water to prevent damage such as swelling or warping of the wood.
7.Handle with care : Lift and move your furniture instead of dragging or pushing it to avoid scratches on your floor.
8.Initial ventilation : Upon receiving your furniture, take the time to air out the doors and drawers in a well-ventilated room to disperse any residual odors from treatment or packaging.
By following these tips, you will help preserve the aesthetic and structure of your furniture for many years.
Safety warning
Here is an important safety warning to consider when assembling your new piece of furniture if it requires assembly:
An assembly manual is provided for every piece of furniture that needs to be assembled.
Assembly Process : Do not fully tighten the screws at the beginning of the assembly. It is crucial to first install each screw in its respective position without tightening them too much. This process allows for precise adjustment and alignment of all the parts of the furniture. Once everything is correctly positioned, you can then proceed to tighten the screws completely. This ensures a solid and balanced final structure.
Identification and Verification : The screws needed for assembling your furniture are located in a pocket at the end of the box, marked with a visible red thread on the outside, which helps you locate it quickly. Before you start using the furniture, make sure to verify that all screws are present and properly tightened.
Taking the time to follow these instructions can greatly impact the durability and safety of your furniture. Be sure to carefully follow these steps to fully enjoy your purchase safely.
Delivery Information
Here's a practical summary to help you understand and choose the option that suits you best:
1. STANDARD Delivery : Your furniture will be delivered to your doorstep, the edge of your property, or at the foot of your building. This option is simple and effective for those who are willing to move the furniture inside.
2. COMFORT Delivery : For added convenience, this option includes delivery by two people who will bring your furniture upstairs and place it in the room of your choice. Ideal for heavy or bulky furniture.
Things to Consider:
A. Access Verification : Ensure that the dimensions of your doors, stairs, and elevators allow for the delivery of your items, referring to the dimensions provided in the product technical sheet.
B. Reducing Delivery Fees : If placing multiple orders, consider separating heavier items from lighter ones to combine standard and comfort delivery, optimizing costs.
C. In Case of Damage : It is essential to check the condition of the furniture upon receipt and note any damage on the delivery note before signing it. Without this, it may be difficult to obtain compensation or an exchange. IMPORTANT: You must describe the damage to the furniture, not the packaging.
D. Keep the Packaging : Retain the packaging until you are sure the furniture is in perfect condition and there is no need for a return.
